CONFERENCE 2008

ANNOUNCEMENTS & CALL FOR PAPERS

36th ANNUAL SAALT CONFERENCE

17 - 19 January 2008

University of Stellenbosch

"INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION AND LINGUISTICS”

ANNOUNCEMENT & CALL FOR PAPERS

After the mutually beneficial "back-to-back" (2006) and joint (2007) conferences with the LSSA and SAALA the SAALT Executive decided to join forces again with our partners in 2008. The joint conference of the associations will be held in Stellenbosch immediately after an international symposium on Intercultural Communication and Linguistics (14-16 January).

SAALT interprets this theme wide(ly) enough to include all aspects of language teaching and learning.

Interesting fact: This is the first time in the history of SAALT that we will have our conference in January instead of June/July!

Please go to the conference Web site for further details, and submit proposals meant for the SAALT "stream" clearly indicated as such, i.e. indicate both your SAALT and institutional affiliation in the header (and/or elsewhere) of your proposal. This will enable the SAALT Exec to keep track of the number and proportion of our contributions to the combined programme.
