​The Journal for Language Teaching is the official and accredited journal of the South African Association for Language Teaching (SAALT) / Suid-Afrikaanse Vereniging vir Taalonderrig (SAVTO) / Mbumbana ya Afrika Tshipembe ya u Gudisa Nyambo. Its focus is on the publication of research in the domains of language teaching, applied language studies and language practice.

The Journal appears at least twice a year, is peer reviewed, and is indexed by African Journals Online (AJOL), Sabinet, and EBSCO. Find the latest issue and archives on the Sabinet website.

Literator

Literator is an influential, frequently cited, peer reviewed and open access journal. It is accredited since 1988. Literator publishes research articles and essays on linguistics and literature in general, but is focused on the study and comparative study of South African languages and literatures and other cultural phenomena across language, media and cultural boundaries.

​Per Linguam is a peer-reviewed and accredited academic journal published by the University of Stellenbosch and managed by the Department of Curriculum Studies in the Faculty of Education. The journal focuses on topics related to language learning and applied linguistics, as well as issues related to multilingualism and educational psychology.
