The Journal for Language Teaching (ISSN: 0259-9570) is the official and accredited journal of the South African Association for Language Teaching (SAALT) / Suid-Afrikaanse Vereniging vir Taalonderrig (SAVTO) / Mbumbana ya Afrika Tshipembe ya u Gudisa Nyambo.
Its focus is on the publication of research in the domains of language teaching, applied language studies and language practice. The journal gives preference to the publication of research results with an empirical base (quantitative and/or qualitative). The editor invites specific authors from time to time to prepare ‘state of the art’ reviews on relevant topics.
The Journal appears at least twice a year, is peer reviewed, and is indexed by African Journals Online (AJOL), Sabinet, and EBSCO. Find the latest issue and archives on the Sabinet website.
