Iziko Museums of South Africa are hosting three events to celebrate International Mother Language Day, starting with an in-person event on 18 February 2022 that focuses on teachers’ and learners’ experiences of mother language in school contexts. On Saturday, 19 February 2022, there is a panel discussion by indigenous film makers on the role they and their films play in enhancing the use of mother languages in society.
